The following is a poem written by my classmate. I loved it and wanted to feature it on my blog:
I live amongst urchins
where the sun reflects and shines claret like wine
from the gore that spills inside
yet my floors are lined
with ceramic and hardwood
like the houses that surround us
retrospective to the houses of those that crowned us
I could have plenty to say should I shun from silence
but I won't utter ignorance in place of resilience
yet some in this matrix with their eyes closed
and everyone around seems to think
that i am something that I am not
so I live inside a bubble because they've framed me in a box
to judge based only on tangible perception
is to neglect subconsciously what could possibly be
on one's conscious
I will never underestimate
an underprivileged individual
rather disclose a point of view beyond one's peripheral
yet some are in this matrix with their eyes closed
define the credentials of what it takes to be human
is it to understand that if i pursue any sort of improvement
i must prove it
is it to have knowledge of intellect
and voice it with eloquence
I have provd this
or make relevance of what is irrelevant
that which I won't be fooled with
yet some are in this matrix with their eyes closed
